Our Wedding Album

We've started an album of couples that have given their permission to be published on our site. We are so happy and honored to be a part of this historical moment, that we wanted to have our own commemoration to these wonderful people!

Andrew and Grant had their commitment ceremony at The Wedding Chapel in 2008. They were one of the first in line on April 27th, 2009, got a waiver, and after 3 years together, had their Official Wedding at the chapel on April 28th!!! I'd like to share the note that I received from them later: "Today, 5/6/09, we got our "LEGAL" State of Iowa, County Records, Certificate of Marriage! And NO ONE can take it away!" Right on!

Ginger and Amy were married last year at the Capital Room in Des Moines.

We made it Legal at The Wedding Chapel on May 3, 2009!!!!

Mary and Jessica have been together for 13 years! We made it legal on May 3, 2009! Even though weddings are a solemn occasion, we can still have fun! They will have a renewal of vows this summer.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for allowing us the honor and privilege to be a part of this special time of your lives!

Sue and Jan were married in their home on May 9, 2009. It was an intimate and spiritual experience. To start the wedding, a friend played a singing bowl, which wonderfully grounded the ceremony. It was relaxed but highly meaningful. Sue and Jan have been together 26 years!

Shalissa and Kenisha are a young couple from Oklahoma, who wanted to be legally married, so they took a bus to Des Moines and got here at Midnight on May 11th! May 12th we went down to get their license. I liked these pics because it showed the date they got the license, and the date they could be married! They have been together as a couple for 6 months, but have known each other and were childhood friends since elementary school! May 15th they tied the knot!
